QUESTION:Has anyone experiecned a bad reaction to getting allergy shots? My
reactions keep getting worse. By that I mean the mark on your arm last week
repeated the same shot as week before and the mark after about 5 hours was
the size of a grapefruit. I suffer from terrible sinus pressure and
headaches every morning is terrible and they say it may be allergies all the
sinus ct scans turn out okay. I am at my wits end any help would be
appreciated.
ANSWER: You should tell your doc about this. Do you take your prescription
antihistamine an hour before your shots? If you don't, you ought to. If you are having trouble in the mornings that points to a different,
environmental allergen problem. Vacuum the bedroom, dust everything, move
the books out, use an air filter, clean off the mold. That's not a slur on
your housekeeping. In Seattle, mold will grow many places. I have a mold
problem in my bedroom. Synthetics pillows and blankets are your friend, no
down or wool where you sleep. And washable bedding for the animal if an
animal sleeps in your room. Yeah, you're supposed to not let the animal
sleep in the bedroom, but I could never stick to that! Oh, and get the heat
ducts vacuumed if you have a furnace, and change the furnace filter. If you
have a baseboard heater, vacuum the heck out of it. jdoee and Stacey Dog
