Armstrong Furnace repair manual
QUESTION:Does anyone know where I can get an Armstrong Furnace repair manual?
ANSWER: Yellow pages?
All kidding aside, if you wanna work on your furnace, name a beneficiary.
You are working with gas, electricity and on the cooling side, some high
pressure stuff. Is your life worth that?
As a degreed engineer it doesn't scare me.
In fact there are several of us who have gone together and purchased a used
oil furnace, and are seeing if it is possible to convert a used oil furnace
into a used oil furnace. Hmm, that doesn't sound right. A used "oil furnace"
into a "used oil" furnace. Initial testing will be done outdoors. It would
simplify things if I could get a service manual on it, as it is, I don't even
know how to clean the heat exchanger or change the orifice and don't feel like
tearing the whole thing down to figure it out but will if I have to.
I have a machine shop in my basement, so I think converting it will be fairly
easy.
