QUESTION:What beer or beers do you think would best compliment Jack Daniel's
Whiskey?

ANSWER: Any of the Schlenkerla rauchbiers. The fine smoked beer taste will prepare
you for the nasty taste Daniels' charred casks imparts to bourbon.
Well, first of all I'd urge you to find a better whiskey than Jack -- how
about Gentleman Jack?
If you were still insistent, though, I'd go with something like Beck's,
Stella Artois, etc. -- your basic bread-and-butter foreign lager.
Jack has a very peculiar, liquorice-style taste that would probably plow
over any kind of subtle, complicated beer tastes. So you'd want something
straightforward, something that could stand up to it. But you'd also want
something that wasn't too strong-tasting -- you're looking for a compliment,
right? Hence my rationale here.
