Condensing Boiler Questions
QUESTION:I'm sure, but they don't suggest that
an 80 litre cylinder will cope
with all requirements as you have done. They do when its a one bathroom house.
ANSWER: I'm still doubtful that a 80 litre cylinder will be enough for a bath,
anyway. The rapid recovery is somewhat irrelevent if you can refill the bath
in a timescale not much longer than it takes the boiler to fire up and heat
up its primary circuit, as my system does. Obviously, if you limit the flow
rate to the bath taps it is less of an issue, but might still be annoying,
particularly if you like to top off with really hot water after getting in. I also like to keep a relatively low temperature in the cylinder to reduce
losses and optimise the return temp for the condensing boiler.
