QUESTION:Is there a way to set up hot keys to insert a "Boiler Plate" into a
message? By "Boiler Plate" I mean pre-written text. There are several
standard messages/text I want to add to certain types of messages I
receive. I hate having to retype the text or having it as a text file
and having to select File>Open>select the text file>Copy the
contents>Paste into message. To bad the "Insert" option doesn't include
a file. It only show the ability to insert a picture or horizontal line
and both of those would be inserted as embedded files which I certainly
don't want. I know about the Stationery Files which I use extensively on replies. I
have them setup to automatically reply to E-mails I receive with
specific subjects. However, there are lots of E-mails I receive that need individual
replies but might contain a set of instructions, etc.... that could
easily be incorporated into a "Boiler Plate." I'm using Eudora 4.3.2 Paid Mode.
ANSWER: Possible Workarounds: 1. You can make a shortcuts to *.txt files which will automatically
launch Notepad, then Copy and Paste it. 2. PC Magazines RoboType 2: Say More, Type Less RoboType 2 saves keystrokes by letting you type short abbreviations
in place of longer blocks of text. Do you find yourself typing the same phrases over and over when
answering e-mail or creating formal documents? If so, the RoboType
utility can save you a lot of time. It lets you associate
boilerplate text, form letters, signatures, and other reusable text
with short abbreviations. When you type the abbreviations, RoboType
will replace them with the expanded text. http://www.zdnet.com/pcmag/pctech/content/17/22/ut1722.001.html 3. Eudora Stationary
