Condensing boiler flue temperature?
QUESTION:I have just been building shelving above my new boiler and plan to put
bales of hessian on it. What sort of temperature does the flue reach?
Is there any fire risk and should I box in around the flue to keep the
hessian away from it?
I'm hoping the answer is no!
ANSWER: Assuming this is a concentric flue, then the outside case temperature
should be very low on a condenser - in fact even the inner pipe should
not be much above 60 deg C.
