Boiler keeps tripping reset

QUESTION:

I just moved into a 1928 house in Southern Md. a little over a month ago. Before we bought the house, we had the boiler checked and cleaned by a cetified company. It was given the ok.
Now it is repeatedly tripping the reset on the ignition. Almost every other day I'm finding when I get up in the morning the boiler is turned off.
It is a Columbia boiler and a Honeywell ignition that I was told are about 12 years old. The wiring in the house is also about 10 years old.
Is there anything I can do to adjust it?

ANSWER:

This must be an oil-fired boiler. Since it happens after an overnight shutdown, I would suspect an oil delivery/pressure problem on cold startup.
This is not the end of the world. It's not a boiler failure or wiring problem and would have been difficult for the inspector to find. Have the service people come out and check the burner/pump.
