QUESTION:can anyone tell me if Dunkirk makes a good boiler. My rep wants to install a
3e1,00c for my electric to oil conversion.
ANSWER: Check out their website www.dunkirk.com ....
They have the Quantum Series that is 95% efficient that I looked into but
they only go to 100,000 Btu's
Just tore out a Dunkirk boiler, that is almost 40 years old. The nipples look
real good, matter of fact I'd trust it over the new boiler we put in.
The only unknown would be cast iron fatigue, of the old sections. The new
boiler is 1/3 the size and weight so you go figure.
