Floor Furnace Gas Older Part

QUESTION:

Today the chimney sweeper was there, a very nice guy. He detected that it rained some month through my houses roof and that some of the wooden beams and the cob-fillings between them are soaked with water. This led to a severe gain of weight on the beams. It might led to a collapse of the ceiling/floor due to exertion. Those beams are connected to the roof timbering and, if that floor collapses the roof would be affected as well.
He told me to immediatelly lighten this Floor/ceiling. There are ca. 40 cm of old roofing tiles and debris lying there, so I have enough to do the next days. (Puhh)
Once the weight is lifted away, there should be no trouble anymore. The cob-fillings and the beams will dry again. But - I just detected by digging in that layer of debris, that the wooden beams which appear then are rather rotten. I hope they don`t have to be replaced sooner or later.
I don`t have any money for that. And - heres what I need the purrs for:
I am really anxious at the moment. Please send purrs for my roof not coming down. For drying out fast and for the beams to last a little longer.
Puhh - it is lovely to be the owner of a house which is older than 100 years. Solid stone, yes, but the wooden parts.

ANSWER:

Hope everything will be okay, Bettina. Mega purrs for Intact roof and sound floors! And of course, for fast drying out of all the affected critical parts. Although he seemed a bearer of bad tidings, at least you found out in time to do what you can to correct the situation, and did not, unexpectedly, end up buried under the ruins of your house with no warning!
