QUESTION:Whilst wandering through Lowes, I noticed a number of different
types of furnace air filters. All of which were much more expensive
than the 50 cent once-a-month filters I've been buying. Are any of them
worth the money?
I have a 1.5 year old heat pump and three cats who vacuum themselves
with the air return (talk about one fuzzy filter).
ANSWER: I've been happy with the 3M Filtrete filters. I just finished a remodeling
project, and the changing filters (and having separate air filters) kept the
dust out of the rest of the house.
