QUESTION:Our Rheem furnace needs a 24 x 25" filter. No one sells these sizes. Does
anyone have a suggestion other than buying 25 x 25 and cutting an inch
off. I think I'd like to try a more permanent filter instead of the 99
cent throw aways.
ANSWER: Although we have a 25 x 25 filter, I bought a washable filter made from a
tough plastic stranded mesh. You can cut it with scissors to any smaller
size. It works well, and can be hosed down and replaced in the filter
slot easily. Sorry, I can't recall the name of the filter.
