QUESTION:I'm considering dining at the Elkridge Furnace Inn in Elkridge, Maryland.
I've heard the menu described as French or country French. The
restaurant is supposed to be in an historic house or mansion of some
sort. I'm looking at my trusty ADC maps and it looks like the Inn is
near the the border between Howard and Baltimore counties. I'd appreciate any comments on the restaurant and whether it's worth the
drive. I hope this post isn't off-topic for the group - it seems like
people here are willing to go quite a ways from DC for a good meal.
ANSWER: I didn't realize I was sending out a custom team of restaurant
reviewers. I had seen pictures of the Inn and heard vague (obviously)
descriptions of the menu but I'd never talked to anyone who'd actually
eaten there. I'll try it myself next time I'm in the area. The area between Laurel and Baltimore along Rt.1/I95 seems to be
curiously devoid of good restaurants. I've found mostly fast food and
other chain restaurants aside from a few good places in Ellicott City.
Any other suggestions?
