QUESTION:Is there any books out there that tells you how to repair your oil
burner?
ANSWER: an excellent book for furnace repairs is published by Macmillan
Publishing Co. Volume 2 of their Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning Library covers
oil, gas, and coal burners, controls, ducts, piping and valves.. about 650
pages with about 400 illustrations. It's in a series of books by Audel, written by James E. Brumbaugh. There
may possibly be a better book for this specific area.. but i doubt it.
Everything is covered.. fuels, burners, nozzle designs, pumps, ignition
systems.. selection, service and repair. Check your local library or larger bookstores with technical/service
sections in them.
