QUESTION:My 26 year old heat pump recently bit the dust and it's probably due for
replacement instead of repair. I need to decide what to replace it with. I'm
in Portland OR. with about a 2600 sq. ft. house on a shaded lot. Could any one share any data (or opinions) that might help clarify long term
costs and benefits of a new heat pump vs. gas furnace + a/c?
