Gas Furnace Manufacturers
QUESTION:I have a 150,000 BTU Carrier natural gas upright furnace located in my
basement. I just had the rusted out burners replaced and the heat
exchanger probably won't last another year. I plan to replace it in
the spring. Is any one brand better than another? If you have had
problems with any, please let me know.
ANSWER: In my experience, any nationally known brand of equal size and price
should be comparable.
That being said, I've found that the guy who's going to service this
new equipment, once it's installed, is much more important than the
brand name label on the side of the unit.
