QUESTION:How difficult is it to replace the gas control valve? After the gas supply and the electric
has been shut off, is it just a matter of replacing or are there adjustments and other misc
hidden things involved?
ANSWER: It's easy to do with mainly just a pipe wrench for a tool.
Two warnings:
1. Don't over-torque the new gas valve while installing it.
2. Check EXTENSIVELY for leaks on the threads to/from the valve using
a soapy water solution -NOT WITH A MATCH.
