Honeywell Gas Furnace

QUESTION:

I have a gas Honeywell Furnace/air conditioner. The furnace has not been right since I bought this house 2 years ago. When the heat kicks in, it seems like it will click and click and rattle until the furnace finally "catches". It will rattle almost like a rattlesnake. It has problems igniting with the front cover on, so I leave it off. Then when I am running the air, the pipe on the outside of the furnace will sometimes ice up and it will quit cooling until I turn the temperature up and let the ice melt. And the blower runs constantly, whether it is on auto or not. I do not have the funds to buy a new heating/airconditioning unit, and the price of a repairman to come out is unbelievable. I don't want to wind up blown to smithereens because of a faulty unit. I believe if I have some concrete things to check, I could figure it out and buy the part.

ANSWER:

seems like you may have a couple problems here the clicking sound is your ignitor trying to light ends may need to be cleaned could be jumping out to the wrong area , the blower not turning off would be your fan limit switch pretty basic usally cheap part either has 4 or 2 wires going into it , and the ac pipes freezing up means your ac unit is low on refrigerant which is making the pipes freeze in nj you have to have a hvac license to even touch refrigerant dunno about your area but your probally gonna have to call a repair man most this stuff isnt for the normal do it your selfer
