Intertherm Mobile Home Furnace Part
QUESTION:I"m moving on. Sadly, since I think PH make the best MH's,
I'm going to check out other brands today..after a stunningly unconstructive
phone call to the factory. I don't feel as though I have much choice. Is it
inappropriate of me to expect if I call the factory to ask about specs of a
home and they won't tell me, that something is wrong? I realize it would be
difficult to tell me specifically what my dealer considered part of my
package deal (the sales person said she needed to check with the factory to
find out-see a circle!!!) but generally speaking there must be a spec sheet
and I was told there was, but it was internal only. So, there...they want $90,000 of my money sight unseen. I wanna move to Michigan and let Greg sell
me a home. ) His website lists specs, easily available and clearly
outlined, what is in the homes. That I can't get that here is sad. SO, tell me about Fleetwoods Reading the archives, I get the impression
quality varies ALOT. Their exterior walls are 2x4, I gotta ask them if they
upgrade that? I'm going to call one today.
ANSWER: Too bad...sounds like you were dealing with a Palm Harbor factory
store..This kind of treatment is common from what I hear..They expect you to
pay 90k and TRUST them.."They are good guys"... Fleetwood build wildly different homes in each plant..generally the SE
product is the bottom of the barrel (except Fleetwood from Plant City,
FL)..They say the further west..the better house they produce...There are
many other brands out there..Fleetwood is the manufactured home company in
the worst financial shape right not..This is important only because they
might cut costs..First to get cut when a manufacturer is in trouble is
service..When in bad shape they are only worried about making it the nest
quarter...not worried about long term reputation..
