QUESTION:What would cause an electronic thermostat to make the vent motor
want to constantly switch on even in the A/C mode.
ANSWER: Is the Honeywell stat a power robbing stat? Another words do you have a
terminal for a common wire? If not you will need to either use
isolation relays or change to a stat with battery power or that uses a
common wire. Some electronic controls on gas furnaces will not work
with power robbing stats. Had the same problem on a Tempstar gas
furnace last week. A battery powered Honeywell stat took care of the
problem.
