QUESTION:My house was built in 1987 and has a Magic Chef central furnace whose
heat exchanger just went bad.
Could this furnace possibly still be under warranty?
Does Magic Chef still make furnaces?
ANSWER: I have a Magic Chef heatpump. When I called Magic Chef for info, they told
me they sold the heatpump division to Armstrong. They may well still be
making standard furnaces. I don't have their phone number, but you may find
