Slant Fin Boiler

QUESTION:

One builder I'm talking with is recommending a Slant/Fin boiler for the radiant slab PEX tubing floor spec'd for our new house. They don't seem to have a very large name, but I came across it when I needed to replace the radiator boiler in my current 90 year old house. Question: how is Slant/Fin as a manufacturer? cost? reliability? servicability?
Are there special things I should look for in boilers which will feed PEX tubing? From my reading it sounds like the temperature of the water supply to the PEX had to be much lower that what normally goes into cast iron radiators, hydronic baseboards, etc. Wouldn't I have to run the output temperature much lower than "normal" systems, and wouldn't that affect the design/install?

ANSWER:

I put a new slant-fin in for a guy about 10 years ago complete with temperature set-back and electronic ignition. Told him to oil the pump once or twice a year and leave it alone. Haven't seen it since, must be working
