QUESTION:We are restoring our 1907 home and are interested in replacing our ancient
(read inefficient) boiler feeding our steam radiators. In researching the
topic, I find that we must be in a small minority of homeowners (using steam
heat), as I cannot find and information to speak of. Are there "major
players" when it comes to residential steam boiler makers? Where can I find
them?
ANSWER: I may know more about them in a couple of weeks. We're getting brave and

Weil-McLain, Burnham & Slant/Fin are there, they are probably the 3
biggest
in boilers. We're using a Smith boiler on this job for the support the
rep will give us.
