QUESTION:I'd like to see what experience the group members have had with the noise
level of Suburban furnaces as well as any maintenance problems. I can
hardly hear the TV when my furnace is running. How about you?
ANSWER: I have a Suburban furnace in my '95 Class B. Despite the confined
space in such a vehicle, I don't consider the furnace noise as
objectionable. Perhaps bigger ones are noisier -- I can't say.
Mine sounds like any small gas furnace that you're sitting a couple of
feet away from. Not what I'd call super-quiet, but not deafening
either.
Have owned the vehicle 5.5 years (bought it used) and have needed no
maintenance at all on the furnace during that time. I have to assume
none was done before I got it, since the furnace and everything else
was in pretty much like-new condition and worked perfectly.
