Need info on gas furnace and air conditioning units
QUESTION:I need to replace a gas furnace, and possibly, the air conditioning unit.
A guy recommended by a friend wants to sell me a Tempstar gas furnace.
I have heard of Carrier, Luxaire and other brands but I never heard of
a Tempstar. Does anybody know if the Tempstar brand is any good?
Can anybody recommend a good brand of furnace/air conditioner?
ANSWER: Tempstar is the new name for Whirlpool products. When Whirlpool sold the
heating & cooling division in the 80s to Inter City, the name didn't go
with it. So Tempstar was born. It is good stuff, well built with good
warranties.Tempstar makes a pretty good furnace. It has a good warranty. Got to
go. Cafe A/c out.
