Trion Air Bear Furnace Filter
QUESTION:Looking for advice on type of equipement for upgrading our central HVAC.
I know very little about central HVAC.
Have three air handlers and one is "fading." Each air handler is
connected to an outside York AC compressor and there is a boiler for
heat.
Air Handler is currently a GlowCore 30VDX-3HW. This unit heats/cools
first floor of about 1,000 sq ft (but house is open to basement and
second floor).
Have a proposal to install the following:
Magic Aire DUX series air handler
Aprilaire 2250 filter
Aprilaire Auto Humidifier
Appreciate any opinions on these brands and how I could get an estimate
of the wholesale cost (to installer) of these units.
ANSWER: Actually asked on wholesale price because this "beginner" figured that
was the easiest number to get and compare brand to brand. Guessed there
is no real "retail" prices to compare. Maybe I was wrong..... Again, I'm
much less interested in the price part of my question than input on
"better" air handlers.
BTW, since I haven't gotten any responses on the air filters is this the
best website to ask whether the Aprilaire 2250 is a significant
improvement over standard furnace filters and whether better or worse
than the electronic type? Maybe there is a review someplace that I
haven't found.
