Furnace filter location and duct work

QUESTION:

Does anyone know where the filter is on a Trane XE78 gas furnace? I crawled all around the unit and didn't see that it could go. There is a panel on the front of the unit that may come off, but there there is an elbow in the gas line just above and an extention which is right in front of the panel that may not make it easy/possible to remove. I looked on the Trane web site for a diagram of the furnace, but they don't offer it.
Also, I noticed that only the intake duct was insulated. All of the other air ducts are not insluated. Is this normal? Should I insulate them? They all have condensatoin on them from the air conditioner running last night. The crawl space is very cool.

ANSWER:

whoever installed it failed to do it correctly by not insulating the ductwork...if they made that mistake they probably also made the mistake of not having a filter(should have been in the intake air)... the moisture you see is gonna just run down to the ceiling of your home and will then ruin the ceiling, along with heat loss from the cooling system.
