Flame roll out problem with Williamson gas furnace.

QUESTION:

I recently purchased a home in north central Florida. It started to get close to where I would need to be running the furnace occasionally so I decided to fire it up for a test. I lit the pilot switched on the heat and the burner fired right up. Manually turned the fan on to make sure there were no gaping holes in the exchanger. No disturbance of the flame. Switched unit off, gas valve shuts down, flame goes out no problems. Button everything up and closed the closet door. Fire up the furnace ,we have ignition. I let it run long enough for the fan to come on and then I bring the temp down to shut off the valve . As I'm doing this I hear a definite "click" then "whump". Houston we have a problem! I have two gas forges, two gas fired crucible furnaces and two gas fired kilns at my business. I know the sound of "whump" is not going to be good. I open up the closet door and panel and sure enough I have a mess of burned wire. The house came with a warranty so I thought now's the time to use it. I call the company and they send a technician. I explain to him my experience with gas systems and throw out a couple of juicy burner terms so he doesn't treat me like an idiot, and to give him a chance not to stick his foot in his mouth. We open the furnace up he looks at the burned wires, pulls out his Nextel and calls the boss. Like a miracle, due to the magic powers of the Nextel, his boss determines it's a cracked heat exchanger and he'd have to change out the unit. Man that guy's good. Actually at this point I'm getting pissed but I'm a nice guy and I figure I'd let this play out and see where it goes being as it's under warranty. The good newsyou get a new furnace .. The bad.. It's $1200.00 extra to bring it up to code. Now I'm mad. Not at the $1200.00, that's a code issue and I understand, but at the lack diagnosis. Freeking parts changers! Ok I'm now going to fix it myself since I dont have $1200 extra right before Christmas. I rewire everything and run the unit. Cycle it on and off a few times, everything working great. Nice ignition of the burner with minimal amount of roll when it fires. Good steady flameyada yada. I certify this unit operational!!! I didn't change anything but the wires, but hey you never know. I've had the magic touch before. I close the closet door and about a minute later I hear my old friends Mr. Click and Mr. Wump. Unfortunately my wife was standing there and I had to hear " this isn't one of your kilns this is our house!" Always work on your furnace when your wife isn't home and preferably when shes out of town. This will give you time to repaint the room and replace the cat.
Ok at first I though it was a faulty gas valve that wasn't closing all the way and figured I would replace it as a safety measure. But after reading up on things I'm not so sure, the closing of the closet door seems to be a factor which leads me to wonder about the air intake. But then there's the unmistakable "click" right before it happens. So I'm not so sure. I'm open for any suggestions you might have on this. Also is it possible to retrofit some sort of rollout protection? Thanks for reading this and I'm not really down on HVAC techs. I actually like the guy's I dealt with. I just wish they would have done a little testing (or at least threw some chicken bones on the floor) before they declared my unit dead. And it may very well be.

ANSWER:

What was the whole point of this long boring story? Are you just wanting reaffirmation that you are indeed a complete clueless cheap asshole?
The only think I could see is that you provided compelling evidence that you obviously do not understand the operation of gas-fired appliances, and you also are a cheap homoaner bastard who could never receive satisfaction from any HVAC service technician, including Jesus Christ Heating and Cooling.
The fact that your stupidity will probably cause you to do harm and/or death to yourself is not a problem, except that you indicated that you also have a wife and possibly children living with you. Because you blatantly endanger others in your household, and you have admitted doing so in this public forum, you are now subject to investigation by Child Protective Services, as well as surveillance by other law enforcement and insurance fraud agencies.
