ANSWER: Defiantly gas , it is more clean and economic source of energy also fast and relabel than wood burner.
if your looking to use wood as a heating fuel then you should look into an outdoor wood furnace and you can use your forced air system as all you'll need is to insert a coil in the duct work and it will work from you exciting thermostat, I used to sell and install Heatmore outdoor wood furnace's and they where great, most of the time you get a 12+ hr burn on one load and your house will stay at what ever you set your thermostat, no smoke, wood mess, ash mess or smell in the home.
